But if you've read Corrupt, you don't need a review of Hideaway to convince you. Penelope Douglas weaves the perfect about of romance, tension, and suspense into one hell of a book. Penelope doesn't write cliffhangers so you're left feeling satisfied but craving more. This book surpassed my expectations, and while it didn't end like I was better. Penelope Douglas creates a unique feeling with her books unlike any author I've ever read. We learn so much more about all the characters we loved and loathed, lusted after and feared. I love that the plot continues from Corrupt. Corrupt was my top read of 2015 and Hideaway takes the top spot for 2017.
I'm definitely a reader not a writer but Hideaway deserves a review.
